Philip glass composed his Piano Concerto No 3 for piano and strings expressly for American pianist Simone Dinnerstein. Westben is honoured to welcome this internationally renowned pianist along with the Manitoba Chamber Ensemble conducted by Anne Manson as they present this remarkable piece full of grace and patient grandeur. Also included is the Double Concerto for Violins (Vivian Fung) and Dvorak’s tuneful American String Quartet arranged for string orchestra.
