For the past two years, Wind in the Leaves Collective has coordinated research, conferences, artistic showcases, and outreach to support Indigenous, Black, and People of Colour (IBPOC) artists in building touring opportunities for dance artists. With funding from Canadian Heritage, all levels of Government, and guidance from an advisory committee of arts organizations, the Network is now launching a pilot touring project in Ontario, collaborating with presenters such as The Registry, Westben, and Guelph Dance. This marks an exciting step in engaging the performing arts sector and advancing opportunities for IBPOC artists.
