Embark on a unique journey of "Storytelling through Music, Tech, and Nature" at our upcoming March Break program! Taking place on Thursday, March 14th, and Friday, March 15th, from 9 am to 2 pm, this one-of-a-kind experience invites you to explore the fascinating intersection of art and nature. Led by the talented Ottawa- and Montreal-based arbor-artist, Kim Farris-Manning, and the multifaceted Toronto musician, Rashaan Allwood, participants will delve into the world of field recording, audio editing, and collaborative storytelling through sound and video.
Bring your sense of adventure, warm clothes for outdoor exploration, good walking shoes, lunch, and a recording device (like your phone, optional). Activities will include recording sounds in nature, editing audio, engaging in creative collaboration, storytelling, and crafting a multimedia project.
Under the guidance of these accomplished artists, participants will not only learn from multidisciplinary experts but also create alongside their peers. The program promises to impart valuable skills in audio recording and editing techniques, encouraging participants to explore their inner creativity and gain a solid foundation in multimedia project creation.
The program will be documented with video recordings and photos, subject to the consent of all participants.
Please note that the venue is not wheelchair accessible, and participants will experience a mix of standing and sitting activities throughout the day.
