Recognized worldwide for the originality and technical proficiency of his performances of an astounding range of repertoire, Canadian pianist and composer Marc-André Hamelin has been hailed as “one of the world’s most accomplished pianists” (Pioneer Press, Minnesota) and “an ideal interpreter” (New York Times). Repertoire to include Sonatas by Feinberg, the Polonaise-Fantaisie and Scherzo No. 4 by Chopin, and Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57 with the internationally renowned Danel String Quartet.
